Gary L. Novotny has spent an illustrious 48 years in the men’s clothing industry. He established Gary Michael’s Clothiers in Hastings in 1983, and only five years later his service and attention to detail earned him the title of Nebraska’s Retailer of the Year. Novotny continued his success by opening a store in Lincoln in 1993, and not long after, he hired a manager who would soon become an integral part of the store’s next 31 years in the capital city: Nathen Rutt. Fabian Rene Fury is a Los Angeles native who was added to the team in 2022. Together, Gary, Nathen and Fabian have sought to provide Lincoln with world-class fashion and unmatched customer service. They believe the future success of Gary Michaels Clothiers lies in maintaining those values and are excited at the opportunity to do so today.
In 2016, we were honored to be recognized with Nebraska’s Retail Champion Award, as well as one of the top five retailers by the National Retail Federation.
